Off-grid Solutions
Regional and remote electricity users and systems that are disconnected from the main electricity grid are characterized as “off-grid”. Generally, electricity tends to be more expensive within off-grid areas due to the additional costs incurred by fuel and oil transportation, storage and premiums. Adopting renewable energy in such areas presents a tremendous opportunity to reduce overall power expenses, and to find niche work options that may slightly improve local economies.
Statistics show that the number of people served by off-grid renewables globally has expanded six-fold since 2011, reaching nearly 133 million people in 2016.EnerTech currently focuses on deploying off-grid solutions to support decarbonization efforts and to promote rural electrification.
